On arrival at da vinci manor we were very dissapointed. The guest house is very much in need of refurbishment. The outside is a mess and the room was in a bad state of repair. The plugs were charred black, the bathroom was very outdated and shabby. There were spiders in the room and the toilet brush was disgusting.
The staff were friendly and service was good - obviously the owners.
The breakfast was disapointing everything was from a value range and for £110 a night I would have expected some better quality items and persanal touches. eg napkins rather than Value tissues on table , butter not value marg. Hp sauce not value tesco.
Taxi is £10 extra each way, but beware it the owner in his own old car. I didn't feel safe!
If you do stay here there is a fab pub 5 mins walk which serves lovely evening meals.

Excellent place, we enjoyed staying here very much. Clean, comfortable, and quiet place.

Very clean kept and in order .We left our 3 cars for 3 weeks and found all to be satisfactory. They even washed our cars!!.

As a party of 6 we stayed at the 2 bedroom Da Vinci Cottage.
The cottage was damp (I suspect it hadn't been aired for a week or 2) and a bit tatty. There were several broken tiles in the bathroom and the cooker was horrendous. That said, it was totally adequate for our overnight stay.

The staff were friendly and there was plenty of tea, coffee, milk, cereal and bread etc provided for self service breakfast (guests in the manor get a cooked breakfast). The staff organised a mpv cab for the morning of our flight.

Parking for 2 weeks was included in the price (which was about the same price as 2 weeks parking at Gatwick). I was dubious about leaving the car keys with the staff but was pleased on my return to note that the car had moved less than a few yards. The grounds in this manor are very large and there were plenty of cars that needed to be shuffled around.

Despite its close location to Gatwick airport it is very quiet but it is still a 6 mile drive.

Overall, it was adequate for our needs and good value for money!
