We stayed here for one night Thurs 30th Nov as we were departing from Gatwick South Terminal early morning. Our stay cost £118 which inc parking for up to 8 days, breakfast, and the shuttle to and from the airport. Its an ok place to stay for the night but i wouldn;t like to stay much longer. The room was average with nothing outstanding in it but it was clean and nice enough for the night. The bathroom was a nice size and also clean. We ate here and wish we hadn't. The food isn't that great, most of it tasted pre heated. The breakfast is just the same, food which has been sat there for ages and not that appealing.
The reception was very friendly though and made us feel very welcome which was nice. I would stay here again as its easy to get to the airport, the shuttle comes regularly and its much easier for us to park there then drive up in the morning.
Next time though we would prob go out somewhere else for dinner.

This is nice old English style hotel in the middle of industrial and business area. There is a good pub and restaurant with good food too. So, your basic needs are very near. The hotel is surrounded by very beautiful small park with ducks. Rooms are clean but sometimes not so quiet.

Always stay here the night before a holiday as it starts the holiday early and removes any traffic worries on route to catching a plane.

However, this time, I had eaten one of the chef's 'specials' in their restaurant. Within two hours I was up with an upset stomach.

Didn't think more about it until the morning when I'm getting on the plane. Had another bout and being on a plane like this is not funny. Was off my food all day and so this ruined my first day in Lake Garda.

Wrote a letter to complain and this is where they cheesed me off....I got a reply back 'weeks' later explaining that they had carried out tests and got the all clear. Well you would wouldn't find anything now would you...testing things weeks after it happened?!

Anyway, credit to them for making an investigation. However, rather than stick to their guarantee that you'll get a decent nights sleep or your money back, they went on to say that it is more likely that my bad stomach was as a result of something else and refused any recompense.

I thought about writing back to explain I didn't accept their decision and it was quite clearly their bad food...but realised I was probably going to get nowhere.

So, I'm going to do the worst thing that they could want...promise never to stay in a travel inn again 'anywhere' and spread the word on review sites like this.

OK, so I'm not going to make a big dent in their profits by doing this but bad press can be more costly sometimes. They would have been better gracefully declining...even if they wanted to say that they didn't think it was them, a decent business would still accept responsibility and give something back for the sake of customer relations and I would have been happy and go back to them.

In summary, good place to stay for the price, but the moment you have a bad experience, don't expect them to welcome the criticism and don't expect them to stick to their money back promise!

What a terrible nights sleep - well I never had more than 10 minutes sleep, would have been better commuting from home at 3am!

Room was far too hot. They supplied an inadequate fan which barely stirred the air. If you open the window the nearby motorway/A Road makes sleep impossible.

Worst the sound proofing between floors is terrible - woken at midnight by the family upstairs arriving and going to bed. Woken at 3.30am by them getting up. Every foostep heard perfectly.

Terrible, horrible place - better kip on the airport floor.
