Stayed for 2 nights in March 08, as had a business trip from Gatwick. The hotel is relatively new, and looks good. It has been nicely refurbished, and more work is going on to build additional facilities, such as club level accommodation.
The hotel has a small heath club attached, and parking is reasonable at £5 per day.
My room was fine. A poor selection of TV channels, as per usual with IHG hotels. When on holiday you don't want TV, but when staying in UK hotels on business, I really can't see why hotels do not offer a better choice of tv channels such as sports and entertainment.
Food was excellent. The Cube restaurant has a great menu, and the chef certainly does a good job. However the waiting staff are not so good. Simple things such as offering you a drink when you take your table, and offering the desert menu after clearing your main were missed on my stay. And when bringing food to the table, it is hardly reassuring to be asked by the waitress "is this what you ordered". I would recommend that the hotel addresses service levels, and ensure that the standards match the quality of the food.
Overall however a good hotel, and a great option for Gatwick airport, which is a 10 minute drive away, and serviced by an airport shuttle.
