A visit to Bletchley Park had long been on my agenda, having read many of the fascination stories of the owrk done there during WWII. But it didn't quite live up to my expectations. I'm not sure how long BP has been a visitor attraction, but the impression given is that this site is in it's infancy.
My guess is that because alot of the equipment that was at BP was destroyed after the war, things to display are scarce.
More signage would help, as would better displays, even if things need to be recreated and are not original. The main house, which I expected would be the jewel in the crown was very underwhelming, which is a huge shame. As a family we were so looking looking forward to this visit, however we left with a case of what might have been. We visit attractions extensively and BP is very much a poor relation to many wonderful locations. One thought would be to engage with the few members of staff to whom visitors are a slight inconvience?
Summary: Could, and must, do better.
