We stayed at Travelodge Dartford in order to visit the Bluewater shopping complex which was only five minute's drive away.
The hotel was situated near Greenhithe village, next to a dual carriageway and a train line. Although we were worried the noise would affect our sleep, it was never noisy enough to bother us.
We booked early on a Supersaver deal from the Travelodge website for £15 and this represented excellent value. The room was clean, comfortable and spacious, even with a bath! We would definately return.

I spent a night in Dartford Travelodge at the end of July 2006. It was basically a place to rest my head after a long journey from the North on the way to Dover.

The biggest bonus to this hotel the fact that it is located five minutes away from the Dartford Tunnel exit of the motorway is also its biggest drawback. Being located next to such a busy stretch of the motorway and the inadequate windows makes for an extremely noisy hotel. Therefore my plan to get a nights sleep and make me fresh for the next day was seriously hampered. It also did not help that the bed was extremely uncomfortable.

I think therefore it would be better to pay for one of the more expensive hotels in this area and actually get some sleep.
