The Hotel is in good shape with all the puplic areas clean, and well maintained. Price for the Saturday night was reasonable and included breakfast for the four of us (2 adults 2 children).
Checking-in however did not live up to the promise of the surroundings. Check-in was apparently from 2pm, we arrived at 3:40pm but our room was not ready. When I asked reception what time our room would be available I was informed that housekeeping would call reception when it was ready. I politely inform the receptionist that this did not actually answer the question. An exact time was not forthcoming, so we retired to the pool to await our room. Having booked a room to accomodate our family (2+2) we eventually entered our room to find 1 bed!! This was rectified later when two other temporary beds were placed in the room for our children. Although they took up most of the available floor space in the room they were very comfortable and were made up with duvets as opposed to the sheets and blankets on the main bed.
We were staying at the hotel as part of a family group. 2 senior citizens, (1 physically impaired) 4 adults and 5 children under 12. Soon after arrival we tried to make arrangements for dinner in the restaurant. We were offered 9:15pm at the earliest "....because there was a coach party in the hotel". Whilst this may be OK for some (me included if I were dining with just my wife) it is certainly not acceptable for families with young children. We ate elsewhere and the hotel lost a few more points. All in all OK but...
