Stayed here April 2004. We had a nice room with floor to ceiling windows and twin beds-plenty of space in the room and a tv with radio. Rooms could do with a little freshening up as they were a tad dated but okay-no wallpaper hanging off or damp patches!
Leisure club nice with a small shallow pool, jacuzzi, steam room, sauna, gym and sunbeds. Quite busy with families at times which made it difficult to have a nice relaxing swim or bubble in the jacuzzi in peace!
Restaurant for breakfast was okay-spacious and welcoming but with severe staff shortage! Buffet breakfast with cooked items aswell as breads and fruit. Nobody appeared to show us where to sit so we just sat in the conservatory at the nearest laid table. We had no cutlery on our table and there was no cutlery nearby and we could'nt find anyone who could get us some! Eventually after waiting around for 10 mins someone appeared from the kitchen and huftily threw a knife and fork into my hand before disappearing again! Apart from that the cooked breakfast was nice as were the breads which were nice and fresh.
One thing I will mention which I think is a little rude is the fact that the cleaning staff start the rounds really early! Our check out time was 11am but we had a knock on our door at 10.30am-a cleaner asking when we were leaving! After explaining that we had just come back from breakfast and were packing our things the cleaner just walked away with a blank expression on her face! Sorry!! We left the room at 11.05am and the cleaner was waiting outside our door with her things-ready to service the room-like she was prompting us to leave!
I would definately stay here again-despite the rude cleaning staff and the ghostly breakfast room!
