I stayed at this hotel for one night whilst on business last week.

My single room was surprisingly spacious, with a four poster double bed, two big sofas and a large tv (the bath was also far larger than average!) It was situated at the back of the hotel, so I heard no noise from the main road out at the front.

Service from the staff on Reception was really helpful and room service was fast and friendly. The bar is big and well set out, though the only barman was a little overstretched at times!

There was plenty of choice at breakfast, and I can highly recommend the cooked breakfast!

This hotel a couple of miles outside Doncaster so you really need a car (or taxi) if you plan on going into town.

We stayed at the mount pleasant hotel on the 25/2/08 we had a fantastic evening.
The staff was very nice the rooms themselfs was very clean couldn't find any fault at all.
We will be going back very soon.

We stayed here for one Saturday night with our 16 month old baby. The hotel appears to be very well managed. The reception, bar and lounge areas have been updated recently. All was very clean, bright and pleasant. There were always plenty of staff around willing to help (bringing highchairs etc).
We knew there was a big function on and had asked for an executive room well away from the party because of our baby. All was as requested when we arrived. Our room was huge and luxurious - big comfy bed, flat screen tv, whopping bathroom with massive tub and modern big separate shower. Again, everything was spotlessly clean. A lot of thought has gone into the design of the executive rooms, eg: blue night lights in bathroom, 3 seater sofa, lots of lamps etc. The room was also nice and warm on a cold January night, and the radiators could be controlled easily.
On the Saturday evening we ate in the Captain's Bar, generally the food was good, except for some overdone jacket wedges.
At the buffet breakfast, for a four star hotel we thought the continental selection was a bit lacking, there was little choice of cereal, fruit and yoghurt and no pastries (perhaps they were having an off day?). However, there was a good selection of hot items and all served cooked properly and very hot.
Overall we were very pleased, and would recommend this hotel, and we will stay here again if we are in the area.

We stayed here for one night in October 2006. We love this hotel - it is by far the best hotel in Doncaster!
I will admit that we may be a little biased as we had our wedding here the year before and the whole experience was fantastic.
We thought we would make it an annual treat to come and stay at the hotel on our wedding anniversary and it was everything we hoped for.
When I booked I asked them for a room similar to the bridal suite we had enjoyed the year before and that's what we got. The room was very large and tastefully decorated, the TV was flat screen with loads of sky channels and the en-suite was amazing - bigger than the actual room of most hotels we've stayed in in the past.
We booked in for a meal in the restaurant and the choice was varied and very much to our taste. The service was good and impressively quick especially given the large birthday party that was seated at the other side of the restaurant.
Breakfast the following morning was also delicious and all staff members we came into contact with were friendly.

We would definitely recommend this hotel. We're not exactly used to 4* accommodation and are therefore probably not qualified to comment as to how this one compares to other hotels in the same class but we don't think you would find a much better one.

We will be returning for a meal and overnight stay for our anniversary again this year.
