My advice would be to avoid this hotel, we stayed there on the 22nd September 2007, the service is appauling, we paid extra for a Deluxe room, when we arrived the room was unserviced, the bed hadnt been made, there was a bottle of lubricant on the bed, a used condom on the floor, rubbish scattered everywhere, we had to well over an hour for somebody to clean the room, and the reception staff were unhelpful, this was the 8th time we stayed and after that ordeal we certainly wont be returning.

A mid-sized hotel about a mile from the middle of Doncaster, very close to the race course. It's also on the main route out of town for the ambulance station and the secondary glazed windows often struggle to dampen the street noise.
The decor is a bit faded and tired and some of the bathrooms look a bit clapped out. Some of the rooms, however, are very nice and have had a fair amount of money spent on them. Avoid Room 101, apart from the obvious reason, if at all possible. My mate stopped in there and the bath was about the same size as the sink.
The restaurant was a shambles however. A simple meal may take up to an hour to arrive after the cook (I won't dignify it by calling him chef) drives across to Asda for the ingredients. No, really.

I stayed at this hotel for one night whilst travelling on business. The room was very comfortable and decorated in modern fashion. The TV was an impressive 42" plasma, but I think it was too big for the room. The bathroom was large and the jacuzzi bath was a nice touch. Overall a great hotel and well worth the competitive rate.
My only moans would be that the room was very warm and there was little ventilation (sash windows were difficult to open). Also, the hotel is situated right next to a busy traffic island, so you have to get used to the constant traffic noise.

You MUST stay in this hotel if you are in Doncaster - the rooms are amazing! My room had a 42" plasma screen and a luxury bathroom suite!
I'd stayed here before many years ago and they must have spent fortunes upgrading it because it's nothing like waht it was.
Staff were great, very friendly and helpful and food was good.
Oh,and there's FREE wi-fi everywhere in the hotel which no other hotel in the area seemed to offer.
I got the room for £60 which was a bargain. I highly recommended it!
