I stay here often through work, maybe once a month. Of all the stays I have had here I have to say the vast majority have been trouble free.
The airport shuttle service is great, you can call from the airport or you can request it at reception for your return. Depending on how busy they are I have only ever had to wait about 5/10 mins max. Check in has always been very quick and efficient no matter how busy it is there.
Rooms I believe are slowly being updated, i.e with new widescreen tv's/carpets etc. Rooms are comfortable and clean, however I would advise requesting a quiet room as it can get quite noisy in the early hours of the morning 4/5am with people leaving with luggage etc especially by the lifts. Rooms can get quite hot in the summer time but the windows do open and the a/c can be controlled although may be quite noisy.
I can not really comment on the food/drink, I usually avoid as a quick glance of the prices on the menu shocked me! £8 for a glass of wine! However, the breakfast is always good if you have that included and the staff are always friendly and helpful.
Overall, maybe a slightly above average airport hotel, I have always enjoyed my stays (probebly stayed here 50+ times). If your staying here, simply ask for a refreshed/quiet room and they can usually help you. One thing to say, it can often get quite busy with holidaymakers in the busy summer months, look out for the special 'Holiday' offers, £59 per room plus breakfast! You cant get better than that!

Stayed here using my Hilton Points and its a nice well maintained hilton hotel. Can be quite expensive to stay but its friendly and clean. Walking distance to airport and accross the road from airport railway station. Rooms lovely, large and clean and reception area is very welcoming. Did not eat at hotel so no comment on food. Would stay here again if needed to.

Being with HH and needing to be at the airport early the next day for a weekend break in Florence (at J K Place) we booked the Hilton.
It is very convenient and does offer long stay parking deals. For 2 nights we parked in the short stay at Terminal 1.
Because of previous noise problems at London Hilton Canary Wharf we had been promised "special" attention and a welcome pack.
The prebooked deluxe room was OK but nothing special and the welcome gift that London had requested was not in our room on check in nor did it appear until I went to the front desk with a copy of their email.
The "Ambassador" then contacted me and apologised explaining a communication mix up - she wasn't aware that we had checked in.
Wanting an early night we had a room service meal - expensive and didn't keep hot whilst we ate our starter.
The BIG problem was the aircon. When we switched it off at 10 pm to go to sleep - we had to be up at 6 am to catch our flight - it started making a loud noise as if the condensate pump was continuously operating. This went on till 10:35 when I gave up trying to sleep and complained.
It was immediately obvious that this was not the first time that this had happened as there was a supposed quick fix - turn off the unit at the mains behind the roof panel.
Unfortunately someone had screwed the panel closed.
The only option was to sleep in another room!
So at 11 pm we left all our stuff and went across the corridor to an identical room and got some sleep.
The cost of the room and the minibar was not charged but the room service meal was. This was accepted by us as some compensation.
I doubt we shall be staying here again. Probably go back to Bewleys which was quiet and inexpensive.

Stayed overnight, as flying out to The Gambia.

Found the rooms very clean and spacious.

However I agree with other reviews that meals were expensive, however the bar staff were very efficient.

Transfer to airport the following morning was good only a 5 min journey and we were dropped right outside the departures, which is just what you need, this was the reason we choose this hotel and will use again for the closeness to the airport.
