Thank you fellow contributors! Certainly a chambre d'hote which deserves the high praise of previous guests. Our four night stay was a pleasure. The property is neat clean and tidy throughout and this, combined with the superb and fresh breakfast spread positions La Muscadelle as a chambre d'hote of quality. Add to this, the joy of being the most welcome guests of Brenda, and particularly the effervescent, always smiling, Michael and one could believe that running a chambre d'hote properly is an easy thing to do!!

The grounds are child and grown up friendly, one of our fellow guests even used the pool on two mornings (November!!) Surrounded by Montabazillac vineyards, with a view directly to the Chateau and easy access to Bergerac and the surrounding bastides - all highly recommend this lovely chambres d'hote.

We were part of the group of four who spent the night at La Muscadelle. From the moment the front door opend we were made to feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Great value for money with clean, comfortable rooms in which to relax after a foray into town which is only 10 minutes driving distance. The night we arrived we fancied going to a pub for our eveing meal. Brenda rang ahead and booked the table for us. Both Brenda and Mike (who are Englash) made our stay relaxed and enjoyable. We will be going back. The final bonus is that there is a private car park where you can safely leave your car. The view is amazing of the Chateau and we are really looking forward to our next visit. We could highly reccommend this english couple. Fantastic Hospitality.

Just spent 3 days at La Muscadelle with wonderful hosts Brenda & Mike. This place is a little gem which ticks all the boxes. The room was very nicely furnished, comfortable and spotless, and the breakfast was really good. Also the swimming pool is such an asset and we were pleasantly surprised to be able to have a swim outside in late September. All in all a very nice place to stay. Plus the location was ideal, right in the mddle of vinyards, nice and peaceful with brilliant views. What more could you ask for? We would definitely recommend this place and hope to return next year for another stay. Mike & Brenda are perfect hosts.

Just wanted to say what a fabulous two nights we had. Mike and Breda were brilliant hosts and made us very welcome. Having a pool to sit by was a great bonus. Also the recommendation of where to eat on the Saturday evening was spot on the food was fab. I will be visiting again. From Nigel & Debbie
