This is a tremendous hotel in a fabulous setting and my family regard it as a must-stay halfway stop on our way from London down to the Dordogne.
The restaurant is set in what appears to be a huge glass conservatory overlooking the pool, green fields and the castle and town of Amboise in the distance. The food is first rate with an excellent selection of wines and each time I have eaten there (we have stayed many times), hot-air balloons have flown overhead; beautiful.
The rooms are clean and well kept with very efficient air-con and in many cases, fantastic views across the countryside.
The Chenonceaux chateau which is very near is arguably France's prettiest which is a terrific and easy trip.
Amboise is a two or three minute drive but frankly, it ain't all that folks and is blighted by the camping/caravanning parks that deface its appearance. The castle is terrific, of course.
Despite that, thoroughly recommended!
