Excellent hotel tucked away in Amboise with management very willing to help with any request from restaurant bookings to train timetables to advice about tourist sites, even to the point of arranging breakfast at 6 am to allow for our early departure.
Rooms were well sized and clean and at E110 well priced. With only a small number of rooms this hotel was a very pleasnt change from larger establishments who are often just processing numbers through the door.
If going to Amboise ( which we thoroughly enjoyed) don't give a second thought to staying here, you will be pleased you did.

Manoir St Thomas is a very pleasant B&B, located a short walk from the Chateaux and the related restaurants. We booked over the internet direct with the hotel and our arrival was trouble free. The hotelis situated among beautiful gardens and is very charming itself. The room and en suite was very clean and well presented.

The wonderful hostess recommended three restaurants and the two we tried were excellent although unfortuantely one was shut. The breakfasts have been excellent. I'm writing this review from the in-room internet connection that obviously works well !!

I can highly recommend the Manoir St Thomas.

We drove into town, and found the hotel easily with directions provided, really liked have on-site parking! Pleasant reception, she spoke perfect english, took us to an impressively large and interesting room #1. Large kingsize bed, large bathroom. TV. WiFi available for a fee (I opted to just use 15 free minutes, because paying 15 euro for 3 hours was not worthwhile). This is right in center of small old part of town, we really enjoyed walking at night (though dark, so not so good if you are unsteady on your feet). We would stay here again!

Stayed at Le Manoir Saint Thomas for 4 days during September on our trip through the Loire valley. The hotel is in a great location just 5 minutes walk to the main part of town for the castle and all the restaurants. Our room was very spacious with a fab bathroom, breakfast was nice in the dining room each morning and the staff were very friendly and helpful - suggesting places to eat. A lovely little hotel for a few days stay.

I have put off writing this review because I am afraid that I won't be able to get a room next time. But I must tell you that this hotel was wonderful. I have stayed in many hotels throughout France over the last 20 years and this hotel is one of the best. I chose it the last minute, based on the TripAdvisor reviews, because I had cancelled all my hotels because I thought I could not make the trip. When the trip was back on the last minute, I booked this hotel for our first 2 nights. It was Great!. The location is perfect, right in the center of town, however, it feels like a country hotel, with beautiful grounds and a nice pool behind an historic hotel building. The staff was wonderful, recommending absolutely perfect restaurants in town. The location is not only perfect for visiting Amboise (the chateau and Davinci's house), but also for visiting the other chateaus in the region. Our room was large and tastefully decorated and the bathroom was gorgeous. Go and enjoy!
