I stayed at this hotel for two nights in July 2006. It is a nice little hotel, with clean rooms and fairly friendly staff. Another review on this site said it was a ten-minute walk to the town center; actually 20-25 minutes at a brisk pace would be more accurate, and if there are any local restaurants or shops, they weren't open in July. My room was large, clean and contained all the essentials, but the air-conditioning was old-fashioned and wasn't up to the job of dealing with temperatures in the 30's c. The television's volume was governed; a good move to keep down noise but the setting was so low that I had to stand in front of it to hear any sound. Breakfast was decent, but not included and I thought it over-priced.
Whilst I was there the hotel was in the process of changing its name to the Oceania Escale, presumably as a result of new owners. If prices rise without commensurate improvements there would be better places to stay in Orleans ( a lovely town and well worth visiting).
