Just to give you people who are planning to stay at this place. Remember it is ACTUALLY a 2 star hotel so don't have this thought in your head that any hotel in Paris is going to be great.
Now if your going away, you wouldn't spend most of the time in a hotel room, you want to go out and explore Paris.
This hotel is based literally 1-2 minute walk from the metro of Place de Clichy. If your coming from gar du nord you take the line to barbes then take the line towards place de clichy.
The location is ideal to walk up to the moulin rouge and the metro lines is ideal to travel to the arc de triomphe. If you are familiar with the london metro then paris metro will be easy for you.
If your taking taxi or any other transport or lost. Make sure you know the hotel name. Other websites call it hotel de montmartre So be careful about that. Just mention place de clichy and ask for rue biot and ITS right next door to a japanese restaurant.
For those who might be travelling to disneyland, metro to the A RER train is 4 stops away and will only take 30-40 minutes.
Now for those who concerned about the service and the quality of the room.
I will outline the main concern,
Conceirge - When checking out and leaving our luggage they left it in the lounge. So security and a peace of mind is not ideal.
Hotel key - it is a 2 star hotel but for some odd reason they require you to hand them the key everytime you come in and out of the hotel. And when asked for the key they just handed it with no problem. Security issues? Yes.
If you get the balcony view- depending what night you stay but say if drunken crowd outside, you will hear them. And not have a good sleep unless you were out as well and drank loads too.
The room is contempt. No bed bugs, comfy enough but if your making out. You will be making noise and your neighbours will hear.
The bath room is ok especially for a 2 star hotel but the hot and cold water can be a pain when trying to balance it as other residents in the hotel is using at the same time.
TV was good but they give the remote at the desk and need it back when you checkout, so make sure you dont lose it.
Service - at the desk you have maps so make sure you pick them up and if you researched what you want to do in paris, you can always ask the front desk for a bit of guidance.
Room service- make sure your luggage is secure with a padlock when you leave. Me and my partner are always vigilant, we always leave a euro or any sort of amount on any surface tops to see if it would be taken. They tidied the room well but dont leave any loose change because they will take it. Add the factor that your key is left at the front desk. Anything could happen. So its better to be safe than sorry. Just lock your stuff away.
Overall, location to other main tourist site is ideal and easy and quick. Quality of the room, just remember its a 2 star but it does provide a shelter and average room and clean room!
If your lover's and noisy then spend an extra 100 or 200 for a garunteed 4-5 star hotel to make your partner happy =D
Here's a little scale to help you 3 nights 4 days we spent 255 euros for a double room. Just use this as a gauge.
sight seeing and exploring great!
