Travelling through Europe with my 17 year old daughter, we came across BBB through TripAdvisor reviews. It was our first choice. Unfortunately, someone had a hold on the room right before we inquired. Lucky for us, and unlucky for them, Jozsef emailed us back informing us that the room was ours if we still wanted it. Thank God it was, we didn't have a second choice!
Everything you read about the daily breakfasts is true. My daughter requested Nutella and it became a staple each day before our daily sorties. The personal attention Jozsef showed went above and beyond what one would expect. Certainly you wouldn't get this type of attention and information staying at a hotel. Each day, Jozsef would look at our schedule (which was quite ambitious for a five day stay, but thanks to him we got everything done) and offer up the quickest and easiest ways to enjoy the things we were visiting. We arrived on a Monday night and on Tuesday morning whereupon we enjoyed the first of five fabulous breakfasts and tips on getting to our first destinations, Notre Dame and the Lourve.
Funny story, Jozsef set us up with museum passes and sent us on our way. We arrived at the Lourve and noticed that the secret entrance he told us about wasn't needed because there was absolutely no line at the pyramid entrance. What Jozsef didn't tell us was that the Lourve was closed on Tuesdays. But he was right on the secret entrance. It was funny upon our breakfast the next day he asked how the Lourve was and we told him it wasn't crowded at all. We all laughed as he realized that his days were off.
Jozsef didn't miss a step. He guided us through the Metro system trains to get us to where we were going, gave us advice as to where to enter certain sites, when to visit them, where to eat, even booked our table at Moulin Rouge. If it wasn't for the personal attention we wouldn't have seen half of what we set out do.
Any visitor to Paris, either repeat visitors, or first timers, especially first timers, need consider no other lodging than BBB. Like in an earlier review, you come in a tourist, but you come out with a friend. Thank you Jozsef for indulging us and our mundane questions, thank you for your hospitality, thank you for making my daughter and I feel at home. Can't wait to come back.
