I got the train from my place in Bastille and decided to buy ticket to d'Orsay, and come back another day as I do not do queues. I love the Impressionist art and they are all here, The building is divine, the displays....yes brings a tear to the eye. Monet, Cezanne, Pissarro,Morisot, Manet, Degas .. I ate in the restaurant, foie gras, champagne was the same quality as any else in France though a little more expensive, You only live once so they say. The restaurant is worth a visit just for the decor alone, it is truly tres Parisean. A wonderful day out and best of all, as always with me, no guides to hurry me, go it alone, catch the train, take your time. This Museam is the must see in Paris for the art.
