We were there for a week in early May, 2012. When we checked in they gave us 2 keys to check out the rooms in advance. One room was larger with not much view. The other was smaller but out the window was the Tour Eifel and les Invalides dome...a no brainer. Very clean and quiet, that is until you open the windows. We were on the 5th floor so that helped a little but they had not turned on the AC yet in the hotel so we had to open windows or suffocate. You do get used to the traffic noise.
2 small drinks in the bar were $50...skip that one. Also breakfast for 2 is 76 euros...go across the street for 20 euros for 2. Poulaine patisserie is just 2 blocks away...get to know the route, you will be wearing a path to them!
The concierge staff was good, especially the young lady, but one of the men was pretty snippy, but efficient. Never really knew if he was annoyed or not...you know the type. Clean. Efficient. Old but confortable. Fairly expensive. If you go to Venere.com you can usually save at least 25% off their room rates which makes it a good deal. And the location of the Lutetia is fantastic...plus 2-3 times a week they have a street market a block away that has to be seen to be believed!

Thank you very much for your comments. Indeed, some of our rooms offer a wonderful view of Paris. We well noted your remarks about the concierge service and actions have been taken in order to avoid this kind of incident. We hope have the pleasure to welcome you again to the hotel Lutetia.
