I enjoyed my stay here. The rooms are fine maybe a tiny bit small.
We had breakfast everyday and was very tasty, the girl serving us was very sweet too.
There is a metro stop 1 min away and the opera 5 mins away so a fab spot.
My husband said it was noises super early from the bin men but I slept well despite.

A great hotel for an affordable mini break.

We stayed in this hotel for two nights at the beginning of the month. At the end of a long day travelling and pulling cases around it was a great relief to arrive in the hotel, which gave a fabulous first impression. The staff were friendly on arrival and, although I spoke in french as best I could, she returned my conversation in english, which I think made it easier for us both!
We checked in quickly and easily and were given the wifi code without asking, a nice little touch!
When we got to the room it was bigger than I had expected from reviews on here but not exactly big! Decorated very nicely and clean, which is all we were looking for really! One of the lamps didn't work in our room, but it wasn't a problem, but the Air con didn't seem to do much and made for a rather warm night on the second night. Opening the big window was nice but lets in a lot of noise from the street.
The only thing I didn't like was the bathroom door. I was with my boyfriend so it wasn't too bad but the frosted glass hides nothing and the way the door closes does nothing to hide sounds. Not one for the toilet shy and would be awful for a set of friends.
Another thing we did notice too was that our bed was wonky, it must have slept some heavy heads as was lower at the head end than the foot end, but comfortable non the less!
Easy check out on the last day and they held our bags for us which was very helpful as we still had so much to see! Close to metro stops and lovely cafes! Great for a base for busy days and a good nights sleep!

I stayed in this hotel with my boyfriend just for one night. We arrived late in the evening and it was the highlight of that bad day. Calm, spotlessly clean, decorated with taste and functionality.
We even ordered dinner from a furnished room service menu.
A great experience.

Very nice hotel with good sized rooms for Paris. Very comfortable beds, good bedding and contrary to other reviews we found it quiet. The door to the bathroom is frosted glass so it may be a little uncomfortable depending upon who you are traveling with. Air conditioning worked really well. We didn't eat at the hotel as many other great restaurants nearby.

What to expect at Hotel Icone. (Free Wifi!)

Small European sized rooms - my friend and I requested 2 singles and the room served well for what we used it for, which was just sleep. The beds are comfy and extra pillows are in the closet. I've read some reviews on the AC not working and all that, but our AC monitor worked perfectly well..almost too well that we got really cold and had to turn it off.

House keeping is on point. We would leave every morning to start our excursions by 830 AM and sometimes made a pit stop at home to drop stuff off at like 11 AM or 1 PM, and the room would be spic and span. Maybe its also because its a smaller boutique type hotel with only 7 floors and a couple rooms each floor. But either way, I'm happy to come back to a clean room.

The location is very convenient to the Metro and great cafes around. Very close to Galeries LaFayette - 5 minute walk. The location is actually very convenient all around central Paris. Although the entrance to the hotel is in the back alley - my only complaint is the construction and the garbage. There were a couple nights where construction happened at like 3AM to 7AM and garbage pick ups at like 5-6AM. You can most definitely hear everything. So Light sleepers beware.

The service was good. The lady receptionist was really really nice! She is super sweet and helped us with all our directional needs and if we needed extra plates/utensils for our room. The main receptionist guy had its good and bad days. Some days he was a bit rude, other days he was helpful. I preferred the lady. There is a also a night receptionist .... hes a bit creepy. But nice.

Beware of an extra charge when you leave - something to do with a service charge per day that is not a "tax" - cost us an extra 12 EURs on our pre-paid hotel for 7 day stay.

All in all, a good location, just beware of the noise at night.

Also, only 2 English channels - CNN and BBC. Everything else is in French, so if you want, bring a USB stick for movies or IPAD or something if you decided to turn in early one night.
