My husband and I stayed at the Francois Premier based on the rave reviews we found here on Trip Advisor. We were not disappointed, and I can't wait to tell our travel agent, who was not familiar with it. Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly by the charming concierge who treated us like returning friends. He had the bell captain show us two different rooms, and we actually ended up selecting the slightly smaller room with a queen bed rather than a kIng because it was quieter. (Vent in bathroom of top floor room was noisy.) The concierge reduced our rate accordingly. Our room (404) was very quiet and comfortable, with two wardrobes (one included 3 drawers and a shelf), a desk, two nightstands, a chair, and a small table. The bathroom had a tub with shower, sink, heated mirror to prevent fogging, makeup mirror, and shelf space above the sink and along the wall behind the toilet. Hot water was plentiful and the air conditioning was great. The room window could also be opened and closed. Drapes effectively blocked out light/sun when drawn. There was a room safe and minibar. Turn down service included a couple of chocolates. Rooms were sumptuously appointed and very clean. All staff was friendly and eager to please. Free Wifi was glitch-free. We stayed for 6 nights and were also given 1/2 bottle of champagne, breakfast buffet (terrific) every morning, and a private driver for the return trip to the airport. Hotel location was so convenient---a quick walk to the metro M1 George V stop, the Champs Élysées, and the area. The only negative was a mattress that sagged. Turning it was an improvement but a new, firm mattress would have made things perfect. I'd stay there again in a heartbeat.
