Located in the Marais district which is famous for its restaurants and being the gay area of Paris so plenty of nightlife. This hotel is in a small lane that gets pedestrian traffic and the odd motorbike. Marc and Didier were gracious hosts and have done a wonderful job restoring this delightful building. The room was small as are most Parisian Hotels with a great bed and lovely furniture. Nice touch with bottled drinking water each day and tasty breakfast included in price. The only problem we had was that we were on the first floor right over the main entrance and every time a guest came or left they slammed the door, walked up the small flight of stairs, climbed into the lift which was a metre from our bed on the other side of the wall. All this made it difficult to sleep. Also as there was no air conditioning it was a bit warm to sleep with the windows closed, this resulted in a fair bit of noise from the street. If I did stay again I would make sure I did not get a room on the first floor. Was beautifully clean.
