Stayed at the Hotel Abbatial St-Germain on the 17th of August with my spouse. We had some challenges locating the hotel and finding a place to park, but I blame this on being only my second trip to Paris. Overall, the hotel was very reasonably priced. The room was simple and was not overly large, but it suited our needs (hubby was flying out of Charles de Gaulle this morning). Our room faced the street and with the windows open at night, it was a little noisy - but no complaints. The hotel is located in the Latin District and is a very short walk to the Notre Dame Cathedral and an easy walk to the Louvre. I must say the surrounding side streets are alive and full of excitement at night - what a place! Bars and restaurants are everywhere and this morning when we left they were setting up fruit and vegetable stalls a few steps away from the hotel. Bottom line is location is great, excitement is plentiful and the room was cheap in comparison with other areas of Paris. I'd stay there again.

We were suprised to find such a delightful hotel so close to everything and very economical. It was very clean - the rooms were not small - not large but not the dinky ones we expected. They were tastefully furnished even. The breakfast is great - but not worth the money what with the exchange rate....but the food was good. We went to a local cafe for breakfast and paid far less. The front desk staff were so helpful - we just were amazed. In particular Veronique was the absolute most helpful person we have ever encountered. Her English was inpecible - she was so nice and so helpful - there was nothing she would not answer or do for us. When we were going to the Moulon Rouge and I had to iron my husbands suit - she took me down and allowed me to use the hotel iron. She was very sweet and we appreciated her kindness. We will go back to Paris and we will stay there. We LOVED this hotel.

This hotel was a winner during my winter stay. Very near to many attractions such as Notre Dame, The Pantheon, many shops and great resturants. The rooms were clean and contained all amenities and were fair sized. The rich decor of the hotel and the friendly staff added to the success of the trip.

We just came back from a lovely trip to Paris, and were extremely happy with the hotel Abbatial Saint Germain. Our room, though small, was clean and comfortable. The location is fantastic, although be aware that if you are in a room facing the Blvd St Germain it can be quite noisy, but we found running the A/C blocked out 90% of the noise.
All in all, this was a super value and we would most definitely stay here again.
