Booked this hotel via Splendia 'luxury and character hotels', it definately misrepresents this one. The room was 9ft square for two of us, I had asked for twin rooms and they gave us a tiny double. No other rooms were available despite ringing the week before to check we would have twin beds. The best bit comes last the price was 649 Euros (approx £224) per night to balance in a matchbox bed in a matchbox room. The staff were courteous although not effectual. They were in no position to give a discount, nor was the manager. The desk staff spent most of their time fielding complaints from guests regarding the size of rooms and the extortionate price. On top of that the decor was dark and shabby. Splendia advertised it at £100 per night and say it was 12m squared...it wasn't..beware booking via Splendia and avoid this hotel...it is one big rip-off...

I travel to Paris at least 4 times a year and this has to be the worst hotel that I have stayed in. There is no way that this hotel deserves 3 or 4 stars. Yes, the location is good but try the Agora, which is just around the corner and is 10 times better.

Where do I start? After booking a triple room for 3 adults we were shown to an attic room with 1 campbed and 1 double bed. The air conditioning didn't work, the hair dryer didn't work and the maid didn't turn up for the 4 days that we were there. The view of The Pantheon was excellent - just as well because there were no curtains in the room. The hotel is really tired and in need of a complete room and bathroom refurbishment programme.

Stayed 2 nights at this hotel on way back from Florence to England. Room was very small and hot and unfortunately the air conditioning was broken! Staff were very friendly and helpful but hotel room was very tired looking (certain bulbs not working, hole in the bedspread etc.). Breakfast was lovely and there was a great choice (including cooked breakfast). Great location in the Latin Quarter for Pantheon, Sorbonne, Notre Dame and all the central Paris sights but we wouldn't stay again.

We stayed there for a couple of days begining of this month. The room we got was big enough but pretty dark, even with the window opened you could hardly see the wardrobe! All furniture was scratched but the room was clean. The bathroom was not so clean, we have found some spots (seemed to be the rest of someone that had coloured her hair). The bar was really nice and the entrance was smelling everyday wonderful. That was a good impression when enterind the hotel. Staff was great, polite but they did not change our room after asking for that...
