The location of the Hotel is excellent : walking distance (5-15 min max) to several attractions (Louvre, Opera, Les Halles, Palais Royal) and 3-5 minutes away from the metro station.
The room is less than 18 sqm, but is good enough for a comfortable stay. Beds are clean. The negative point is the bathroom which needs some renovation (tiles, shower cabin..).

Room tip: It is preferable not to have a bathtub in the bathroom, since the area is very small.

This hotel is a 3 star hotel and proud of it! The location is good with numerous cafes all around. The room was very clean and the staff friendly. The bed and linens were quite comfortable and we slept well. One has to remember this is a European hotel with locations in many area around Paris. The buildings are old and all bathrooms probably added after construction, which explains why we had to climb over the toilet to get in the shower. Overweight people will have a difficult time. However the bathroom in my son's room had a tub but he's 6'2 and his knees hit the wall when using the commode. Noise from the lobby does radiate up through the floors. I have stayed in several 3 star hotels in Paris because of their location and they have never detracted from the visit.

We got a room that smelled bad, had humidity stains on the ceilings and dirty towels.
Never paid so much to get so little.
The room was also tiny and extreamly uncomfortable.

The only good thing was the location.

Have stayed here before and will again. We had room on 4th floor overlooking street. With small verandah ..lovely. I think bathroom just redone. Staff very helpful...great restaurant recommendations.. excellent food nearby... and an organic cafe with very good coffee.. the hotel location is perfect .. and on a quiet street .. a very short and pleasant stroll through the gorgeous palais royal garden to the louvre and beyond.

The hotel has several things going for it. Nice location. Pleasant and helpful staff, with the exception of the manager. Decent breakfast. Elevator. However, I strongly discourage you from staying here. I spent 8 nights at the hotel in June 2014. They will not let you check-in before the official check-in time, even if they have rooms available. I spent one night in a room that had dirty, worn out carpeting and fabrics. There was water damage with mold on a wall. The A/C control was in the entry vestible...which was separated by a door to the main room...so it was impossible to set it at a comfortable temperature. The mattress sagged. The window was on an air shaft. My biggest complaint was the bathroom. The tiny shower was adjacent to the toilet. To exit the shower, I had to take a big step down...and there was no place to put my foot. I am very grateful I did not fall, bruise or cut myself. I was shocked that they put me in that room for an 8 night stay. The next day, I changed rooms...spending most of the day at the hotel to do so. The room for the following 7 nights was nicer and larger, on a high floor with a view. However this room also had dirty walls; the carpeting and fabrics were worn out. The mattress sagged in this bed as well. When I asked the manager to change the mattress, she replied that the mattresses could not sag because they are only two years old. The hotel may have 3 stars because it has A/C. elevator and breakfast room, but if you stay there, it will seem like a 1 star hotel.
