Many of the reviews for this hotel mention its convenient location. In my case it was certainly convenient since my American family were staying in the same street and we had a lovely celebratory dinner in the restaurant right next door (I'm reviewing the 'Auberge St Roch' as well).

I opted for a larger deluxe room with bath and this was on the top floor with a lovely beamed ceiling. The room was very comfortable and bathroom very adequate. A nice breakfast but slightly on the expensive side. Reception desk staff were friendly.

It worked for me!

Room tip: Go for the bigger, deluxe rooms.

Hotel Saint Roch is located in a perfect position for us. Tuileries Gardens, Louvre, little shops, good restaurants all within moments from hotel. We even walked to the EiffelTower along the river. Our room, although small, was very clean and the bed comfortable. Somehow we made it work for us. We basically just slept and repacked our suitcases there. We spent the 4 days walking all over Paris and enjoying our final four days before flying home. Hotel is reasonably priced for Paris and has good WFi. It also has a lift, admittedly small. It would have been a nice gesture to have a coffee and a small pastry included in the rate. Just saying.. The staff were extremely helpful and a bonus for us was a terrific hairdresser down the street.

Finding a moderately priced hotel in Central Paris can be an issue. You can't expect location and a reasonable price. Saint Roch is wonderfully close to the Louvre and L'Orangerie and easy walking distance to several metro stations. The room was small and somewhat idiosyncratic (bathroom built into roof space was rather "tight"for space) but perfectly serviceable. Staff were friendly but language was an issue. If you look at this as a place to sleep you shouldn't be disappointed.

This hotel is in a great location. Close to the metro, walking distance to the Louvre. Close to the Tuileries Garden which is perfect for that must do Paris picnic. The room is definitely no frills. The young woman who checked us in was polite and helpful. The other front desk staff were polite but not friendly. We did not purchase breakfast as there are several bakeries and cafes within walking distance. The tub is odd and the elevator is small as expected. Would definitely stay here again. Overall a good stay and good value.

Small, intim hotel in good location. Very near are Opera, Louvre, Tuileries Park and fine shops. Metro stop for lines 7 and 14 is almost in the corner. Cosy and comfort, nice polite andstaff. Not too expensive.

Room tip: Take room from higher floor.
