“Good central hotel for first timers”

Have just stayed here in a duplex room, a double bed and a sofabed. The views from the rooms were amazing. Next time I would have booked a double room, as the views are mostly as good and the doubles are considerably cheaper. The room was clean and the staff were polite though not overly helpful. The bathroom was a reasonable size (not quite a shoe box!) for Paris with a nice bath. The hotel is very well located, around the corner from St Michel, which has a direct Mertro Line to the Gard du Nord, St Michel itself which is a bustling
area, a minute's walk from Shakespeare and Co. which is always fun to see, and of course almost opposite Notre Dame Cathdral. The breakfast/lounge room has great views over the street below, the Seine and is great for people watching. Breakfast for 7 Euros is tea or coffee, a good croissant and a bread roll. Not bad value compared to other Parisian hotels, there are however plenty of other places to have breakfast outside of the hotel. I think this is a good choice
of hotel for the first time visitor to Paris.

A wonderful place in a wonderful location. The views from our windows were fantastic, unreal! Walking and metro distance to everything. Helpful staff, nice room, did I mention the views? Bathroom not private enough (when 1 person goes, the other person knows!) but a minor, minor quibble. I'd stay there again in a hearbeat.

“Great location!!!”

This was our first time to Paris and we were pleased with our stay at Le Notre Dame! Having read the reviews here, I was persistent in asking for the corner room on the top floor with a view of the cathedral. Although they kindly reminded me (each time) that they could not guarantee me that room, they apparently noted it somewhere because once we arrived, I was ecstatic to be escorted to that very room!
Small by U.S. standards, we expected the room to be small (it was), but the view MORE THAN compensated for that. The room was clean, the bed okay, the bathroom a bit cramped, but overrall, we were very pleased. We loved leaving our windows open to hear the street noise and we could even see Notre Dame as we lay in bed! The windows were heavy-duty, so once closed, we were able to sleep soundly.
Although they spoke English at the front desk, they werent' overly helpful. I was trying to find the hours for Disneyland Paris and was given the wrong information from the front desk that could have been disastrous had we taken their word for it!
Other than that, we do recommend this hotel. The very centralized St Michel Metro stop is just around the corner which made sightseeing very easy and bein' on the edge of the Latin Quarter (a lil' tacky to some), made it easy to find some late-night eateries. We were also within walking distance from Ile St. Louis where we enjoyed Berthilion ice cream every chance possible!

It is located on the left bank almost next to the fountain of St. Michael. My room had a view of the front and right side of Notre Dame Cathedral and the Seine. Larger room than I am used to in Paris with a full bath including a tub. I was told by some one else staying there that the rooms ending in xx2 are corner rooms with the view I had plus across the Seine.
I would pass on the 7 Euro breakfast although the view from the lobby area is great. A great many places to eat within minutes. Metro stations only a couple of minutes away.
The staff was pleasant with Julie being especially helpful in trying to help me deal with Cityrama over a tour that went bad. She made two phone calls for me trying to get some compensation. No success but she made a great effort.

My husband and I have stayed in many hotels in the Latin Quarter and this is easily the best we`ve found in its price range. We had looked in at the hotel on a previous visit to Paris and obtained their brochure so were able to contact the hotel directly. Its location on the Quai St Michel is perfect with fine views of Notre Dame. The rooms (which have air conditioning) are attractively decorated, comfortable and clean plus we had a bath which is appreciated after walking around Paris all day. The staff were all perfectly pleasant and helpful. Only drawback is having to carry luggage up one flight of stairs to reception though there is a lift from there to the bedrooms. We chose a room overlooking the courtyard as we thought that would be quieter with no noise from the street, as well as cheaper! Certainly there was not much of a courtyard to overlook but then how much time does one spend in a hotel bedroom anyway when you have Paris outside? We will certainly use this hotel again.
