I staid in Hotel Prince Albert Concordia for 3 nights in november, booked the room by internet only few hours before to arrive and asked for a nice room, and that was! I got room 504, on the 5th floor where you can see the beautiful avenue deumesnil. Equipment was quite nice, even if it wasn't a fridge on the room (but come on, is a 2 stars hotel!). Room has equipped with a flat screen tv, heating, a telephone, an electronic safe (which didn't work too, but staff offered me to change the room for this) a private bathroom with hair dryer and few bath amenities. Bathroom was very nice and spacious (see picture), a shame that it wasn't heated, but didn't caused me troubles. Bathroom also have a window, which is a great thing too.
The building is located on boulevard diderot, few meters from the station Gare de Lyon where you can catch several metro and rer lines, also day & night buses. Although we are near a train station, the area is pretty quiet and have a lot of restaurant and shops nearby.
Common areas are only the lobby (quite spacious) which also have an internet point, and a breakfast room. The hotel also offer internet wi-fi in all the building, which i tried and works very fine.
The breakfast can definitely be improved, even if this is only a 2 stars hotel.
The staff is quite nice, although they should be able to recommend a nice restaurant around the area.
Value for money ? You always have to keep in mind that you are in Paris, one of the most expensive cities in Europe....to be there the price was ok, to be in another city of France, maybe it was too expensive. Anyway I feel to recommend this place to travellers. I've seen many negative comments on tripadvisor about this hotel, which make me thing that it has changed management. The hotel seems in fact to belong to a small chain of hotels in Paris, and maybe it wasn't before. This should be found out....
