The hotel is perfectly located, Opera is 3 minutes walk away as well as the nearest metro station, but actually everything is within walking distance. Rooms are very well furnished, big beds, nice bathrooms and they get cleaned and tidied twice a day. The staff is polite and helpful. Breakfast was also of great quality despite the not so great variety. Would definately recommend it!

this is the fourth time i hace stayed here in a month, i am in Paris on business, and i have fallen in love with this hotel!!!

the staff are wonderful, they are so helpful, and are all multi lingual. they are only too happy to help - nothing is too much trouble!!!

the rooms are larger and better equiped than the other Parisian hotels i have stayed in, and are really well furnished.

my partner is disabled (wheelchair bound) and has been here whilst i have been working, the disabled accessable rooms are certainly big enough to ges a wheelchaie around.

the food is also very good, continental breakfast buffet is mort than adequitand makes a good start to the day.

Thank Jasen C

Dear Jasen C,

Thank you so much for taking the time of writing such a nice and detailed review about The Chess Hotel on Tripadvisor!

The team and myself are so happy that you have found the ideal place, your home away from home, to stay with your partner while in Paris. The best attention has been dedicated to the interior design, the furniture, without neglecting the access for wheelchairs. It is great to read your confirmation that it was perfectly thought.

The food we serve for breakfast, tea-time, and room-service, is also very important to us. We have selected our providers for the quality of their products, and we thank you as well for mentionning that in your comment.

We all wish you a wonderful festive season!
All the best and see you again next year.

Hotel is very well put together, stunning interior and extremely close to the opera house. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Only thing that let it down was the breakfast, didnt think it was worth €22 euros a person as it was nothing special, would have gotten 5 star if there were more dining options. That being said ive no doubt i will be visiting again soon :)

Dear Tony R,

Thank you for having taken the time to share your review on TripAdvisor following your recent stay at The Chess Hotel Opera.

We will not fail to pass on your kind wordss to our team who helped to make this stay an unforgettable experience.

The satisfaction of our customers is our number one concern. Please be assured that your comments have been reviewed by the teams in order to focus our efforts on the point you mentioned, such as breakfast. It is made of approximately 20 different products such as home-baked breads and bakeries, cooked meats, cheeses, smoked salmon, fruit salads, fresh fruit juices, traditionnal jams, cereals, gluten free products, to name only a few things from our buffet. They have all been selected for their quality, and their traditional production and mainly come from local farms.

Last week, we also launched our tea-time around Mariage Frères teas and Popelini choux buns, and our snacking chic and room service by delicatessen da rosa, famous for its Iberian unique selection. With our central location, we are surrounded by a large range of restaurants.

We are delighted that you will choose again The Chess Hotel Opera for your next visit to Paris and we are all looking forward to welcoming you once again.

The beds have pillow top covers that are like sleeping on marshmallows. Had one of the best night sleeps of my life!

The hotel is conveniently located within a 2-3 minute walk of both Printemps and Galleries Lafayette.

The showers and bathrooms are perfect.

Olivia at the front desk is AMAZING!

The Chess hotel is in a good location near the Opera house and a sharp price for Paris. We paid €190 per night incl. breakfast for us both. The hotel is beautiful, very stylishly decorated and feels exclusive when you walk in. The people on the reception are very friendly and helpful. The room was #503 on the top floor overlooking the street, it was small but most are in Paris and it met our needs perfectly. The bed was very comfortable and a huge new TV was on the wall, not that we watched it. The bathroom was lovely with a fabulous monsoon shower, Devine! We went down for breakfast and were surprised, it was truly exceptional. We loved the Chess Hotel and would definitely stay again when we return to Paris, thankyou for the hospitality!
