What a wonderful meal, in a lovely setting. We chose to have lunch here for EU36 with 3 choices each of entree, main and desert. For a Michelin star restaurant I think this was pretty good value. Of course what made the bill grow considerably were the drinks to accompany the meal, but sometimes you just have to do it, and wonderful food deserves to be accompanied by equally wonderful wine. We found the service to be friendly and helpful, and the Maitre'D who spoke English quite well was called to help translate the menu for us. Mind you I think whatever we chose would've been great. The desert was a stand out with an assortment of a chocolate tart, lemon meringue pie and a pistachio raspberry tart - one on the plate probably would have been plenty! The mains we chose were whiting with a silverbeet and garlicky sauce, delicate and delicious, and the beef - which was the only point of being not so sure about. By Australian standards it was stringy and a bit chewy. The accompaniments were yum. There were little extras that were thrown in - an amusee bouche, and bread of course, and some little pastry cheese/pepper balls. I am showing my ignorance here, sorry to all you foodies. Starters we chose were mackerel on a blini with vegetables, and a chicken terrine to melt in your mouth. You won't go hungry here!
