We stayed at the Suitehotel in Cannes during the last week in Sept. All the reviews on Tripadvisor said how good this hotel is and they were right! We had a little trouble finding the place but basically you walk up the hill, across the big main road and continue up the hill, passing a chemist, a chinese takeaway/restaurant and a couple of mini supermarkets until you see the sign for the hotel.
The staff were friendly and helpful.
The rooms are big with a double and a single bed. The bathroom consists of a bath with shower head, a basin and a large powerful shower. There is a hair-dryer, but it's very slow. Towels are replaced whenever you need them. There is a separate toilet. All very clean.
There is a microwave, a sink and a fridge in the room, but no plates or cutlery! I asked for plates and cutlery at the reception desk and was told that we needed to buy something in order to get the plates .... I pointed out that the room has all the facilities to cook but nothing to cook on or with! We managed to get some paper plates & plastic cutlery, which did the job for the time we were there.
We didn't bother with the breakfast which was 12 euros, but bought cold meats, cheese & bread from the supermarkets down the road. The hotel provides coffee & a madeira type cake in the morning for free.
Overall a very good hotel, excellent value for money & I would highly recommend it to other travellers.

This hotel is about a 10-minute walk from the Palais des Festivals on a busy street away from the traditional tourist district but that's actually quite nice. The hotel itself is very new-looking (Oct 07) and extremely nicely furnished. I had a very spacious room with a good quality double bed, chaise long, flat-screen TV and large desk. The bathroom was small but had a brilliant walk-in shower and was a bit like a first-class cabin on a ship. The breakfast is good and the coffee great and there's a decent little area for sitting out back. All in all, fantastic value for money. Two drawbacks: one evening, a horrific smell came from the bathroom and actually woke me and my neighbours up it was so bad. The hotel didn't seem to know what caused it. Also, there is only one lift and this causes problems in the mornings and I ended up walking down five flights of stairs to get to breakfast.

“Nice, new and large rooms!”

The rooms are quite large and quite well furnished. It's got a flat screen TV on a movable stand, a lie-down sofa, a microwave and kettle. It's also got it's own bathroom (accessed through a door) and a little bathroom (with it's own sink and also with its own door). Although they used moulded plastics for the sinks etc, it works quite well and is very new.

Location wise, it's a little bit north of the central tourist spot near the beach, being about 10-15 minutes walk away. However, it's easy enough to get to, and there's a convenience store located right next to the hotel which opens very late and is handy to get supplies and water.

Car parking is also good - the Mozart car park is right under the hotel, although some of the corners in the car park are a little tight.

I stayed at this hotel during a business trip. Overall the hotel is ok, although somewhat on the cheapish side. On the positive side is the size of the room, which is really great and would even serve a family with several kids. However, the plastic bathroom/closet combination looks really cheap. Also, the daily cleaning service was a bit lacklustre and breakfast for 12 Euro is a rip-off (much better to go to the small bakery next to the Le Cavendish hotel, just five minutes away). Also the location is not really ideal, about 15 minutes away from the attraction but without a view.

Just returned from a nice, sunny weekend at the Cote de Azur with my eight year old son.
We arrived at Nice airport and decided to take the cheapest way
to Cannes. By train from Nice-St.Augustin station. I do not recommend this way, a 20 minutes walk trough industrial areas, along main roads, no signs about the station at all. Finally we found the station and reached the hotel. There is a non-stop bus service, stopping at the Boulevard Cannot only some meters from the hotel, not that cheap but much more comfortable.
We checked it out for the way back, recommendable.
Back to the hotel itself.
Check-in around 2 pm, no problem for the friendly girl to secure us a room at the top floor, view to the quiet street beneath, ok so far.
The room was large and spacious, designed for three persons.
A bathtub, a separate shower cabin and also a separate toilet,
not bad and spotless clean. I dont like carpets, but it was clean and not smelling at all. Air condition was ok, so the room temperature was comfortable. Some stains on the wall results IMO from a guests
overflowing drink, slightly overpainted.
No noise from the outside at night, a good night sleep there.
Breakfast was served for EUR 12.-- per adult or EUR 6.-- per child.
They offered coffee-to-go and a cake for free, so we declined the brekfast offer.
No problem to store our bags at check-out.
We payed EUR 80.--, not bad for a clean, well maintained property at the Cote de Azur.
