My husband and I spent five days at Eza Vista in early September, and were delighted with the hotel. We were in a studio and I agree with the previous reviewer that the sofabed was not the best - so we took the mattress off and laid it on the floor, where it was as comfortable as home. A bit of a nuisance putting the sofa back together each morning but worth it. Also agree that it would have been nice to have a bureau with some drawers, or perhaps some shelves in that one closet. Not too serious though. Beautiful hotel, felt nice and modern and chic (although I'm not sure how those furnishings will hold up after a few years of wear and tear). Very well equipped kitchen. Location could not be beat - so glad we didn't stay right in Nice. Ate the occasionalmeal on our lovely patio (well thought out with frosted glass dividers to give privacy while allowing light through). People who come to Eza Vista must understand and be prepared that it is a "residence", not a hotel - so there is no daily cleaning or trash removal or fresh linens. The price reflects this though and you can pay for these services if you want them.
One thing that was a bit disappointing: too much chlorine in the pool. I think I read a previous review about the pool not being clean, so maybe they over-compensated. We only swam once as it made us feel prickly and stingy. Very nice sitting area and furniture around the pool - I'm sure this is something they can adjust and correct easily.
In all, would recommend to friends and would happily stay there again.

Whilst I don't want to be a party pooper I just thought that I should give a view of the studios on offer rather than just the suites/1-2 bedroom apartments which have been reviewed. My husband and I stayed at the Eza Vista for a week in August and whilst all of the comments already posted are true about the newness, modern design, location and cleanliness for example I wouldn't agree with a few comments made, especially with regard to space. We stayed in a studio (as it was just the 2 of us) and although the separate bathroom was a good size the rest of the studio was a bit cramped to be honest. We also weren't keen on the fact that rather than have a double bed it had a sofa bed (why??) which although comfortable, wasn't as good as a proper bed as your feet were slightly elevated. There was also a severe lack of storage space as there were no drawers at all. Apart from the kitchen table there was only one coffee table which we had to use to put all our stuff on (camera, sun creams etc etc) and one tiny wardrobe which meant that the room looked like a complete mess most of the time as there was nowhere to put anything away! Honestly not a whinger and perhaps these seem like minor items but we felt for the price paid it would have been nice to have somewhere to put your underwear away rather living out of your suitcase for a week!

Minimum fuss accomodation. All self catering. Rooms very clean and new. Underground parking. A small pool with sunbathing area. The hotel is really a base for exploring the surrounding area. Monaco 15 minutes drive, Nice 20, St Jean Cap Ferrat 15. There are also some excellent walks for those who like walking, some of the views are fabulous. Paths are clearly marked, but do pass very close to the edge of some serious drops so be wary. Eze village is very picturesque,it is a ghost town by 11:00pm. Very busy during the day. You need a car. Eating out is very expensive, the local shops offer little in choice, you have to shop in the larger towns. Would recommend this hotel to anyone.
To find the hotel from Nice airport. Either head to Nice centre then follow the green signs to Monaco(not the blue signs)this road takes you through Eze itself. Alternatively the easier route is to drive down the promenade at Nice,(the airport is at the end of the promenade), stay on the sea front road, go through Villefranche, head towards Villefranche sur le mer, then Beaulie. You will pick up either green signs for Monaco or signs for Eze village itself. From the sea front it is a big climb to the Eze road, so if you find yourself driving up steep, narrow and twisting roads, don't worry, all the roads are like that. Nice becomes heavily congested with traffic. Once clear of the urban areas driving is relaxed, but obey the speed limits.

Okay, I cannot recommend this hotel enough. We travelled as a family of 4 with two boys aged 6 and 10.

We were due to fly and stay in the Eza Vista for the first two nights of our two week holiday. Unfortunately, our flight was cancelled as we were flying on 10th August. Instead, we decided to drive to the hotel from Cambridge UK. We drove non-stop and arrived at the hotel at 4am. The staff had arranged for our key and information to be put in a safe outside of the hotel and had explained how we should enter the hotel prior to our arrival. When we arrived, everything was in place and we quickly accessed our suite without any difficulties.

The suite was amazing! It was absolutely gigantic. We had requested a two roomed suite but in truth, I think we could have gone for a smaller suite. I would say that our accommodation was as large as a small 2 bedroom house! Everything was brand new, the facilies were incredible and we even had a patio area with small garden for the children to run around on. The view was breathtaking and overlooked the sea in the distance (unfortunately too far to walk to!).

The staff spoke fluent English and gave us the most detailed information and even drew a pen line round the route of the Monaco Grandprix circuit so my husband could do his 'boy' thing. They advised on good restaurants and were always available with a smile!

On reading other reviews, I thought this would be a quiet, almost dull location but there was stacks to do. The bakers shop was RIGHT next door and you could sit outside and people watch. Opposite the bakers was a Tabac which sold English/US papers and next door to that was a general store. There are many other small shops in the main town and if you walk up to the castle (which is only just around the corner from the bakers) there are lots of tiny individual shops that wind up the steep hill.

There were also more restuarants than I thought and although the town does quiten down by 10.30/11pm, the restuarants are doing great business earlier in the evening. We had a fabulous meal on the main square.

Back to the hotel. I have to say that the pool area is very cutting edge and although the pool is not large, it is beautifully designed. I was also quite amazed by the design of the hotel and the use of glass instead of walls to the public areas. This really is an amazingly designed hotel and not your average accommodation.

Okay, I have typed this very quickly but all I really wanted to get across is that the hotel is in the middle of things for the town and there is no need to walk far to anything. The local facilities are good, the restaurants are bustling early evening and Eze has a great vibe. I just wished we could have stayed there longer!

If you do stay for any longer than a couple of days, you will need a car as Eze stands alone and I got a vibe that the public transport system is not good in Eze and the connecting roads to Eze are not the sort you would want to walk along!

Only suggestions I can make is that I wouldn't do breakfast at the hotel but instead use the bakery next door, it is far more authentic and 'French' (and of course, cheaper!). The room only had BBC World for UK viewing and there is no DVD player, although my kids enjoyed watching French cartoons! Also, I would suggest if you are a coffee lover (like us!) grab some milk and coffee for the morning from the little shop so you can have a cup when you wake up. I could not find away of getting a coffee without purchasing the full breakfast.

Eze is beautiful, very French and the people are gorgeous. A perfect hotel in a perfect location! Thanks to the other Trip Advisors who told me about this magical place. xxx

Our family of four had the good fortune to stay four nights at the lovely Residence Eza Vista apartment hotel in July 2006. The hotel is only 2 months old, so everything in it is brand new, sparkling clean, immaculate. Air conditioning and wi-fi worked beautifully. Perfect set-up for families, or those who value a frige and microwave to prepare snacks and light meals in the room. The pool is completed now, and it is small but lovely. The pictures on the hotel website do not do it justice. We stayed in the unit with fully equipped kitchen, living room with flat screen TV, two bedrooms, 1 and 1/3 bath (second toilet), and huge terrace facing the sea. I believe they call this the cabine bedroom for the children...in the U.S. we call it a trundle bed, as there are 2 twin beds. Eze village sits high in the hills, 20 minutes east of Nice, and 10 minutes west of Monaco, so the sea is viewed at a distance, but lovely nonetheless.

I cannot say enough good things about this apartment hotel. Wish we had 2 weeks to spend at the Residence Eza Vista, as the area around Eze is just lovely. Not the crush and traffic of Nice or Monte Carlo, but well situated to take side trips during the day.

There are a few shops and restaurants close by. Don't miss the tour of the Fragonard parfumerie, which is just down the hill from the hotel. If you tour Monday-Friday, you can see the production line making the fragrant soaps and shampoos, although they give tours 7 days a week. Mention you are staying at the Residence Eza Vista and they will give you 10% off your purchase.

Also, there is a tiny little house/farm between the hotel and the parfumerie, and the owner has 2 adorable donkeys that like to walk around the village streets nibbling fresh figs off the trees. Don't worry, they are harmless, tethered, and odor-free.

Do not miss the Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild villa and gardens in nearby St. Jean Cap Ferrat - the gardens and the views are stunning.

While there is no restaurant or bar on premises, this apartment hotel was perfect for our needs. They also have underground, secure parking at 10 euros/day.

I booked the Residence Eza Vista on [--] for an addition discount. At 148 Euros per night, this was the nicest place we stayed and best value for money during our 3 week visit to France and Italy. Get there soon before the rest of the world finds out about it.
