“Lovely Provencal hotel”

Hotel Le Pre Catelan

28 Apr 2008

We spent three nights at this hotel in the quadruple room which is really a triple and a single connected by a hallway and bathroom. This worked fine for us as our older child had the single room for himself. The rooms are decorated brightly and in the Provencal style. The breakfast was good. The garden is peaceful and lovely, lots of squirrels! The pool was a bit cold but that´s to be expected for April. It´s only a short walk to the beach and about a 25 minute walk to the much nicer Antibes old town. The staff were helpful and spoke English.

“so lovely, charming hotel”

Hotel Le Pre Catelan

25 Feb 2008

What a wonderful hotel. My wife and i are about to sell a property around Nice. That day we were visiting some in Antibes/ Juan les pins area ( 15 miles away ). At the end of the day we met some friends in the town and had a good dinner. we didn't want to come back to Nice as we drank a little. It was 11pm we had no reservation, we noted at the end of a small street a charming hotel. The gate was closed so we rang, somebody answered and opened the gate, we crossed the charming garden ( qith the fountain ) with all its lights and the owner welcomes us. He gave us a reallly charming room with a balcony and a good discount ( we paid only 80 euros i/o 105 ). The hotel is really quiet and is representative of my idea of Provence. The next morning we took breakfast ( it's an amazing buffet at 12 Euros, really complete; american plan ). The garden was so nice ( enhanced by the beautiful weather we had that day ) with its palmtrees; we even saw squirrels. Finally, we decided to stay 3 nights and will definitely recommend this hotel to our family/friends.

“Really loved the décor, atmosphere and kindness of the staff. Breakfast was a gn”

Hotel Le Pre Catelan

1 Feb 2008

From the very moment my wife, daughter and I stepped into the hotel for a one-night stay in January of this year, we knew we were going to love the experience. Everything, from the garden, to the bedroom, to the breakfast -room seemed to correspond to exactly what we had always looked for in a hotel - comfort, style, homely atmosphere, well-being. We can't speak highly enough of the place (we have had plenty of recent opportunities to compare this particular hotel with others of a similar category in Antibes, London, Paris and elsewhere) and I can truthfully say that Le Pré Catalan leaves the others way behind in terms of service, comfort and charm. The buffet-style breakfast was a real treat, catering for all tastes and appetites, and really was the icing on the cake of our all-too-short stay. The prices are very reasonable and the welcome at reception second to none.

We have no hesitations at all in recommending this hotel to anyone looking for that special "provençal" charm, and to prove it we will be returning there for a further (longer) stay at the beginning of March !

Hope I've convinced you !

Robert Bullock.

A lovely hotel, ideal location and just perfect for visiting the surrounding countryside. The room was comfortable and tastefully decorated and the personnel were courteous and very helpful. We would not hesitate in recommending this hotel and hope to return soon.

As a business traveler, I like to stay at this hotel apart from the downtown trafic of Nice or Cannes. It is absolutely well situated in Juan les Pins near the beach and restaurants, and you have a very quiet environment.
Charming to come with my wife as well, nice breakfast in the garden, old fashioned provence/riviera furniture and surroundings.

A fresh escape from day to day business stress.

I don't know the place in summer when family and pure tourists are common.
