This place was wonderful. The staff is present and helpful 24/7.
True, it is not on the promenade or immediately accessable to the beach, but it's not that far, either (10 minute walk). The good thing about being slightly removed from the promenade is that the Agata is QUIET and is near modestly priced shops to buy bakery goods and water/soft drinks. An added bonus....the bus to Villefranche, Cap Ferrat, and Monaco stops right in front of the hotel. The same bus line in the opposite direction (the stop is right across the street) goes to the Gare Routiere (main bus stop) where you can pick up any bus you wish. People reading other reviews need to remember that Europe is not the US-- hotels don't have enormous rooms and baths bigger than you have at home. The Agata is clean and comfortable. It's probably not the best choice for seniors or families with kids who'll be walking (rather than riding in a stroller) since it is a bit of a walk from the main tourist area, but I thought it was great, and I would gladly stay there again.
