When I was searching for accomodations for my solo month-long trip to Europe, budget was a concern, but area and cleanliness were equally important.
The location is great - about a five minute walk from the train station, and the same to the beach and tonnes of restaurants. As a woman traveling alone, I felt completely safe in this area, and in fact throughout the city. The area closer to the train station is a bit dodgy, but nothing to worry about in my opinion.
I booked a single room for just me, but was upgraded when I arrived because the singles were booked. Woohoo!
The room was a corner room on the third floor facing the street. It was plenty quiet for this city girl. It was spacious, as was the bathroom. The room/bathroom were very clean (my top priority). The shower nozzle had a leak in it, but (thanks to over packing) I whipped out the duct tape and taped up the hole.
I didn't eat at the hotel due to other reviews about overpricing. Internet in the lobby was handy, but they stored it at night time as it was a laptop.
I would stay here again, but I would keep in mind that I felt lucky to get a double room for the price of a single...
