The previous reviews of this hotel are generally on the money: the view is spectacular, whether from your room or the lounge which gives you a true panoramic prespective; the hotel could use some updating, not in the wear-and-tear sense but rather because of outdated aesthetics; and there is nothing else around the hotel though I would not describe the place as "remote" because you are just meters above Monaco. But that's not what you are there for - you're there for this great view, a hotel that works and is accomodating, and you are just minutes away from Monaco and all that it has to offer. One excellent feature is the shuttle from the hotel to Casino Square which saves you the inconvenience and expense of trying to find parking in that area. You will also find the staff to be excellent and very accommodating to your every need - from the front desk to the lounge service to our man Ludwig who seemed to wear several hats, all of them well.
As a hotel it's not "perfect" but it is unique and you could never call staying there a mistake.

Gorgeous hotel. Incredible views everywhere (rooms, restaurants etc), nice cozy/bright rooms. Luxurious rooms. Everything is button controlled (curtains, radio, lights etc). Nice spacious tiled bathroom (separate toilet areas, two sinks, two showers (one with great tub), one shower stall.

Luxurious, but showing signs of age.

For triples, ask for roll-in bed --- the roll away sofa bed was not comfortable. The bed blankets had some smell of sweat, but not so noticeable when covered with bed sheets. Great staff. English was not a problem at the front desk. One free internet access room (need to wait when busy).

Stayed at the Vista Palace in october.The views were magnificent,and the staff were truely amazing.Nothing was too much trouble and when we deceided to get married in the terrace garden,they could not help us enough,the manager and especially Sophie treated us with genuine kindness and respect.The rooms were good size and the decore lovely,breakfast is fantastic and the free shuttle sevice to and from Monte Carlo a big bonus.Highly recommend a stay at this hotel,the breathtaking views from every room are worth it alone.

I have been very lucky through my working career to stay in some of the worlds best known luxurious hotels. Having stayed in Monaco on business l was determined to return to show my wife what an incredible place Monaco really is. Having stayed in the Vista hotel l can say that it rates as one of my best five hotels. The staff were excellent and very helpful. They genuinely put themselves out to help because they are that type of people, NICE, not just on the payroll. We arrived early in the morning before the room was ready and were treated like royalty by the staff. They stopped what they were doing to provide us with breakfast on the terrace. The rest of our stay proved to be just as rewarding. The view is incredible, the hotel and food outstanding and the staff deserve an award for customer care!
