This trip did not disappoint and was truly wonderful. Everything about the area is delicious as the smell of the glorious flowers are every you go.
Le Hameau was exactly as is portrayed in their website. The only thing missing is a bar area which we made up for by taking out own wine in and drinking but I imagine the owners like to keep it quiet which doesnt detract from its appeal whatsoever!
The surrounding areas are completly divine and ignore all those grumblings about too many tourists as we found it very civilised probably because it was not quite high season.
excellently placed for NICE airport and the car hire locating was relatively easy.
We would also thoroughly recommend Josy Jo's in the old town of Le Gagne - wonderful meal. Actually all the food we had was great including the brekkie in Le Hameau.
We are considering heading back there next year as the area is so rich in places to see and restaurants to try.

Le Hameau captures the spirit of relaxation and informal luxury in its charming rooms, private patios, welcoming pool with unimpeded views of the Mediterranean and diverse relaxation spots around the property, which was once a farm. The world of tourist busses and crowds that haunts St. Paul seems blissfully far away, as you enjoy house-made marmalade on croissants with your cafe au lait on the breakfast terrace. The owner and staff are most attentive, offering whatever is needed to make your stay memorable. Many European families return year after year. This is a great spot for exploring Nice and the myriad attractions of the Cote d'Azur. It is our favorite spot in the South of France.

“A find. Don't tell anyone.”

If only our three days could have been a week...or two. What was best? The breakfast in the garden? The pool with a view? The comfortable bed? Who could choose! Maybe it was the proximity to St. Paul (without being in the tourististic hub), or being in walking distance to Galerie Maeght (and not having to worry about parking), or being close enough to a couple of restaurants to walk. Yes, the room was a little small--there were bigger ones for more money--but I'd go back (and back and back) in an instant.

The village of Saint Paul de Vence is a couple of minutes walk from this hotel, which is also a most ideal base to hop around cote d'azur by car. The room decoration is lovely, full of charms. The services are excellent. Beautiful breakfast. Beautiful view. All beautiful.

“Lovely & Magical”

I couldn't have been more pleased as we parked & walked under a fragrant arbor of honeysuckle to reception. We were shown to our room, which turned out to be the exact room in a photo the owners faxed at the time the reservation was made. The room had two separate bedrooms, making it very nice for a family of 3, and it was lovely - exposed beams on the ceiling, furnishings and decor in keeping with the area of France we were in, and a great bathroom. The air conditioning was very quiet & efficient. The grounds are beautiful - pots of flowers everywhere & pergolas to shade common areas. I took numerous photos for ideas to use in my own garden at home because we were enchanted by our surroundings. We made our way to the pool & immediately one of the staff ran out to offer us towels; you would have thought we were at the Ritz with the service we received.

The hotel is ideally located for visiting the hilltop village; we literally walked a short distance to the town. The parking is spacious & secure after hours, with each guest being given a remote gate opener. The price of 220 Euros for the 3 of us was a bargain for the area. My sister-in-law & her family stayed down the road at La Grande Bastide, paying much more for much less. Would we stay here again? Absolutely, without a doubt!
