The nice thing about Hotel la Flore is the proximity to the bus stops. My stay there, however, wasn't as good as I"d hoped. When I arrived the desk guy could have cared less that I was there, he finished his paperwork for more then 5 minutes before helping me or even giving me a 'welcome'. The room was really small, the noise from the road was loud, the pool was tiny and loungers don't fit around it very easily because the fence around the pool is awkward. Rooms lack charm. My ac didn't work very well either.... then one night the fire alarm sounded at around 1am and went off for at least 10 minutes, waking many of the hotel guests. A free croissant or something in the morning could have helped smooth that fiasco over, but they didn't offer any peace offerings. The other good thing about this hotel was Patrick, the night time clerk, he was really helpful and funny.

Stay somewhere else if you want relaxation and a better bang for your buck!

The Hotel -Restaurant La Flore is a small hotel located in Villefranche-sur-Mer . It is a perfect hotel to stay if you are visiting Monaco and it is not far from the Airport Nice Cote d'Azur.
Our room was confortable, tidy and clean , and it had an huge balcony with an amazing view of the old harbour & bay (see pictures & video). The hotel has a good restaurant and a small pool , and there is complementary parking which was very useful. The WIFI connection was good and cheap. If you are not driving, there is a bus stop right next to the hotel, where you can catch a bus either to Monaco or Nice . We had dinner at a restaurant close to sea, and a healthy breakfast at the hotel.
I can recommend it , one gets good value for the price !

This is a well-situated small hotel with breathtaking views over the bay. Our room was comfortable and clean, as was the bathroom although the shower was rather cramped. The view from the balcony was amazing.

The staff were very helpful,friendly and pleasant. The swimming pool was attractive but fairly small and there were always enough loungers, umbrellas and towels for guests.

The bus stops for Nice, Beaulieu, Monaco and Menton are only a few minutes' walk away. To get to the beach it's a 20 minute walk down through the beautiful old town.

The hotel restaurant is good although we only ate there once: with so many good restaurants in the town it would be a pity not to try as many as possible.

We have stayed here on four occasions now, Three times in 2005 and once May 2006, the rooms are extremely clean and tidy (not sure what happenend to the previous reviewer) and the hotel offers superb views.

Since there are in the region of nearly 30 restaurants in the town, We have only eaten once in the hotel but this was enjoyable if although lacking atmosphere.

If you are looking for a clean, hotel with lovely views of the bay then you can not do better than this place.
