The Mas Pomona is exactly as it is described in both Trip Advisor and on their website. The rooms are simple, yet rather large and quite comfortable. We apprciated having a stand up shower after travelling throughout Italy and France and having to "shower" in the bathtub.

The hosts Marianne and David are very nice, down to earth folks and were very helpful in directing us to various locations. Their recommendations for restaurants were right on the money and they made us feel very comfortable.

The summer kitchen is a very nice setting and we used it twice for our own dinners. The breakfasts are more than enough and quite satisfying. Each morning I saw David leave to buy us fresh croissants and baguettes.

The location is also centrally located for many, many Provencal sites. It's within 10 minutes of the A7, thus rapid access to other towns, or simply take the back roads and enjoy the ambience.

Finally, Mas Pomona is a good value. They do require that you pay in cash, but we felt that we got a very good deal would recommend Mas Pomona for a quiet and comfortable stay in Provence.

What a charming, lovely spot! The owners of Mas Pomona, David and Marianne Wilkinson, are most gracious and warm. They gave us their personal tips for each day's adventures, ranging from restaurant recommendations to parking spots. They could not have been more helpful. The website is well designed and easy to navigate. The Mas (farmhouse) has been lovingly restored. Our room was large, airy, and comfortable. The bathroom was modern with a generously sized shower. The grounds are meticulously maintained and the outdoor kitchen and pool are quite lovely. Mas Pomona is very reasonably priced for the amenities offered and perfectly situated for exploring the Luberon. We look forward to returning in the future.

Mas Pomona is at the foothills of the Luberon mountains, near the town of Cavaillon, which has all necessary amenities, but far enough to feel completely secluded. The setting is stunning, with unbounded views and star-studded skies every night. Marianne and David Wilkinson restored a crumbling farmhouse to a kind of cool, modern splendor -- white stone, soft edges, light shades of blue and antique wood here and there. They were the most gracious hosts, always on hand for directions, great local restaurant recommendations, and a nice conversation over a glass of wine by the fire in the evening. (Also nice to be able to consult English-speaking folks if you don't have fluent French.) We were there in late March, not warm enough for a swim or much deck lounging, but the outdoor areas seemed so inviting. We'll have to be back in warmer weather. This place is definitely worth the splurge.

“Perfect in Provence!”

Mas Pomona

7 Apr 2008

Stayed at Mas Pomona over Easter this year and it was a wonderful experience! The old farmhouse is beautifully and carefully restored and the rooms are large and elegant and yet they have that lovely country feel.
The surrounding views are breathtaking and there is so much to see and do and David and Marianne were most helpful giving ideas on which routes to take.
Every morning we were trusted to take Coco and Pom, two friendly and soft tempered Jack Russels, for walkies and we loved it.
We'll be back!

“Mas Pomona Again!”

Mas Pomona

27 Mar 2008

We have just returned to rainy Twickenham after our third holiday at Mas Pomona. This is, however, our first stay with David & Marianne in the spring time.
In '06 and '07 we enjoyed the glorious weather of the Provencal Summer and I can't fault Mas Pomona in any way at all. We enjoyed afternoons by (and in) the fabulous pool and warm evenings socializing in the Au Vent watching the sun set. Marianne & David are keen to encourage self catering on their Barbeque and brought some of their own produce from their Potage to join us in evening snacks. The time flew by for us enjoying good company, good food and fabulous local wines.
This visit (although the pool wasn't as inviting in the spring) the weather was pleasant and the flowers, just opening, in the courtyard made the stay every bit as relaxing and enjoyable. It is so peaceful all year round and the array of flowers under our window was a glorious site to wake to. It brought some much needed colour to our lives after a winter in England.
I very much doubt this will be our last stay with David & Marianne and, whichever season we choose, I am eagerly looking forward to the next visit to Mas Pomona.
If you are thinking of Provence for a holiday contact Mas Pomona, I can guarantee you will feel as enthusiastic about your stay as we are about ours.
