My partner brought me here for our Valentines' day celebration after making advance reservation. Perhaps due to the special ocassion, reservation is absolutely necessary; while we were there, we saw at least 3 other couples being turned away without reservation since the restaurant were full.
Various past experiences of expensive but average (or lower) quality Asian food made me avoid dining at anywhere Asian in Europe. I had doubts about the food at Wasabi even though they were highly raved on tripadvisor.com, but I had completely changed my mind at the end of my satisfying meal.
It was easily one of the best Japanese meals I ever had, with very fresh fish and amazing salad. The quality and perfection of the food could also beat the many Japanese dining experiences I had in Singapore (where I live) but I think that is also because of the price you are paying. For me, it was rather pricey a meal but this is expected for all good quality food you find in France, not even to mention high quality Japanese food.
If you have a little more budget, going to Wasabi cannot be wrong. The place was small but cozy, with interesting decoration that reminds strongly of Japan. The service was good, waitress was very polite, and ambiance was great. I ordered a sashimi and sushi set that had the chef serving it to me personally, and even explaining to me the sequence and sauce to eat the sushi with (which I had never known). He demonstrated for me and also fed it to me which made it a very unique experience like I was a tourist in Japan. My partner also enjoyed his huge bento set accompanied with amazing Japanese wine.
I highly recommend going to Wasabi for a special ocassion or anytime you have the budget!
