My wife and I stayed here for five nights on our honeymoon. Christophe and Benhaz were excellent hosts, very quiet, and respectful of our privacy. Christophe speaks English very well and is very passionate and knowledgeable about Lyon. Behnaz does not speak English as well, but even with my very limited knowledge of French, communication was never a problem. We got many excellent recommendations for places to go. Especially restaurants and farmers markets! We discovered several new and delicious cheeses and charcuterie! Breakfast was always very nice as well, and a few times we were even invited to have afternoon tea with Christophe and Benhaz. When we left for the train station on an early, rainy morning, Christophe even gave us a ride in his car.
The location of this B&B is excellent. The Parc de la Tete D'Or is absolutely magnificent and one of my favorite things about Lyon (aside from the food of course). It is like the French version of central park. It is practically across the street. The neighborhood in general is very nice and quite and not 'touristy' at all, which we liked very much. However, there are many excellent restaurants within 10-15 Min walk as well as the metro station. From this B&B we walked all over Lyon (we never bothered to even use the Metro, since we like to walk).
I will warn, as some others have, that the shower and sink are in a little room between the two rooms for rent and the toilet is in a room by itself across the hall. I don't think they would rent both rooms out to strangers at the same time because of this, but I'm not sure. We had the place to ourselves, so no problems. Also, the room we stayed in (Sefid) is big and pretty, but the furnishings are a little spartan. Those kind of things really don't bother us and were offset by the hospitality and wealth of local information and great advice we received!
