Quiet and friendly hotel very near Brotteaux station and not far on the Metro from Part-Dieu. The hotel manager was very approachable, spoke excellent English, and provided us with maps and advice on where to eat out - we followed his advice in Vieux Lyon and had a lovely meal. The staff were also patient with us when we needed to change Euro notes for coins to purchase Metro tickets.
Breakfasts were excellent - choice of bread/baguettes, yoghurts, fruit, three types of cereal, scrambled eggs, etc, and a variety of fruit juices; plus tea or coffee. But the room only had a cold drink minibar; no kettle or tea/coffee making facilities! This was a minus point on a cold weekend when a hot cuppa would have just hit the spot.
The hotel is in a convenient location and is not too large to be impersonal. Next door is an excellent restaurant and it is very quick to get to tourist attractions and to connections for the airport or train services at Part-Dieu.
