If I had known better I would have spent the extra 50 bucks and stayed somewhere decent... this hotel is positively awful. Greasy, paper-thin bedspreads, unsanitary sheets, creaky, funky windows... the carpet has never been vacuumed in years and the bathroom is poorly-lit and there is no shower curtain.
All the above you can find in Paris or Lyon and be forced to pay $150 for... that is if you're in a nice location.
Well STAY AWAY from this arrondissement of Lyon (the 3rd-4th) because it is basically a North African quarter, tons of kebab shops and everything is written in Arabic-- being a female, I was very distrubed walking on the street (avenue de marseille) and seeing ONLY arabic men standing around aimlessly, in coffee shops where there are NO women around. Men might not understand how it feels, but when you look around your street and see NO women whatsoever, not in the shops, bars, or cafés, you get nervous..I was sexually harassed pretty much non stop.
overall, stay the **** away from this property and go stay somewhere else.
