Planning my 3rd trip to Germany. It is truly beautiful there. I remember the first time I flew into Frankfurt international airport and the first thing I said when I was picked up was, "Where are all the buildings?" It is amazing, we live in a fast paced society and so does many citizens in Germany, but our buildings are huge, tall and reach to the sky. Germany holds alot of history andyou can see that in the architecture. It is beautiful. There seems to be a balance of old and new. It is beautiful. I have loved my last two vacations there and can't wait until July 3rd. This time it is to relax cottage side and see a little bit of Berlin. We are going to the Baltic Sea and will relax and enjoy. Just to drive through the little towns and see the history it holds in the old walls of the buildings. When I look around while driving you can catch a glimpse of many old castles along the way. They are beautiful and often sit on hill tops in the hills and it just makes you wish that we really had some of that history. The food and wine in Germany is so good. They take pride in their cooking and they take pride in the preparation. After the first vacation I came home and started to prepare home made Spaetzle and delicious. THe night life is beautiful and people are so friendly. The little cafes and restaurants are so nice and you are given blankets on your chair to sit with outside in the cooler weather. In Heidelburg there is roads and walkways lines with interlocking and there are little tables set out with blankets and candles burning in the evening. It is so welcoming and when you sit htere you look around and to the left an old church and high in the hills there is an old castle. To the right people are walking and sitting in other cafes enjoying their time. It is truly magical. Living in Toronto, we have hidden pockets similar to this but it does not compare. It is truly remarkable. You really have to see it for yourself. It should be a wonderful trip. I can't wait
