Great hotel! The room is amazing, with a bath-tub, and a reading space just there! Perfection in all details! It is just near the Phylosopher walk, across the bridge to the city town. Charming and romantic atmosphere!

We wanted a special Christmas Eve Dinner/experience. We booked the last room at Hotel Die Hirschgasse. After driving all day, we arrived in the late afternoon. Dressed in jeans, sweats, and not looking our best, we were treated as if were Royalty....and so went the rest of our stay. We recommend the Peking Double Room. With a lovely leather couch & 4 posted bed, we had a bottle of wine chilled and waiting for us. Their restaurant Le Gourmet has 5 star service and an outstanding menu. It rivals the best dinner we have had in years! The waiter offered a selection of wines to go with each of our courses, which enhanced the chef's selections. We can't say anything negative at all. Even the scenic walk across the Old Bridge was delightful after dinner, and only 5 minutes from the hotel.

This was one of my favorite hotels during my recent vacation to Germany. It’s a small luxury hotel with a lot of charm. The service was the best. They staff was very helpful and made us feel special by remembering our names and favorite food and drinks. The room was really large by European standards. The furniture was 20th century antique with a few modern pieces which some people may not like. I thought it was done tastefully and gave the room character. My favorite part of the room was the large tub with the jets. The hotel is a little out of the way, but this worked well for us since we drove in. However the hotel is still walking distance from the city center. I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel when I make it back to Heidelberg.

Very upscale, clean, spacious. Reminded me of The Ritz-Carlton like accommodations. Nice location near Philosophers walk. A little bit of a walk to center of town. Not near any coffee shops so plan on eating an expensive in-hotel breakfast or do as we did and go for a long walk to town for your morning coffee.
