We stayed in the Betzler for three nights.
The hotel location was OK. A short walk or tram ride from the town centre.
We arrived late at night, and the hotel reception was closed but the lady had waited for us. She gave us our keys but spoke no English. However, with our very limited German, we managed to understand her instructions.
Our double room was small, but functional. The shower was in the room but the WC was two doors down the hall and shared with two or three other rooms. The room got pretty hot after both of us had showered.
The breakfast was a well-stocked continential buffet. We checked in properly on the first morning, and one of the ladies did speak English. They took our details, but did not take a credit card impression, which is virtually unheard of!
There is no lift in the hotel, so you must be OK with a few flights of stairs to stay here.
The front door was secure, and only accessed with a key. There is no 24-hour reception and no bar.
All in all, we had a pleasent stay at the Betzler.
