Our room at the Bavaria was nicely furnished, decently sized, with a balcony overlooking the outdoor breakfast patio. I believe that all rooms have been refurbished within the last year or two. The front desk staff was courteous and attentive and the housekeeping staff provided excellent and timely service. Although we checked in rather early in the morning, the staff had our room ready within 1/2 hour of our arrival, while we enjoyed the breakfast buffet. Smiles all around.

While I chose the hotel mainly for its location ( convenient to my business meetings), I wouldn't have a second thought about staying here again for sightseeing in Munich. The hotel is located a very short distance from Theresienwiese and about two kilometers from the Old Town. The neighborhood is very quiet and has many nice restaurants, grocery stores (Tenglemann and Aldi) and banks within a few blocks.

We are 4 adults and 3 kids, ages 15,15,10.
First review is on the apartment - they do not have pictures on their website and I was a little nervous on booking without seeing. The apartment is across the street from the hotel. It was great. Two nice size bedrooms with cozy beds. Large bathroom with tub and shower head. Living room with leather couch, loveseat and chair. Full kitchen with everything you need to cook if you wanted and a large table with chairs. There were tv's each bedroom and living room.
The other room we had was in the hotel on the top floor. You open the door and there was a seperate shower room and toliet room and sink. Then the two bedrooms are seperate room and each had a door. One bedroom had a big bed with a sink and vanity, the other had two twin beds with a sink a vanity. Plenty of room for storage. Beds were cozy and rooms very clean.
Breakfast was very good and there was a bar in the hotel. Front desk was helpful.

We stayed in this hotel for two nights and were not disappointed at all. The room was very comfortable, spacious with a very good decoration (the bathroom is very zen!) and very calm as the sound isolation was incredibly good and we didn't hear anything from inside or outside the hotel!!

The staff was very friendly, very willing to help, and the breakfast was quite good with many different options to eat and get ourselves ready to face the beautiful city of Munich.

Also the location was fantastic. very close to Theresenwiese, that is the location where the Oktoberfest takes place and it had a giant Christmas fair at this time of the year with plenty of things to buy as a gift, Christmas decorations and a lot of drinks (Hot wine, that they call Gluhwein was delicious) and foods namely varieties of the Bratwurst, grilled sausage!!

By foot you would take around 20 minutes to the city centre, and despite passing near to the red light near the train station everything was very calm without big danger for us. The alternative is to catch the metro in Theresenwiese (5 minutes walk from the hotel) and then another 5 to Munich's main square: Marienplatz, one of the most beautiful squares i have ever seen!! The Christmas fair was at its zenith there (Christkindlmarkt), therefore the place was very crowded but still with a special magic... the City Hall and the surrounding buildings are breathtaking like the views from St.Peter's Kirke just close by.

Near the hotel you can find plenty of restaurants but i believe the city centre is nicer to have a meal. Also the hotel has very good internet access in all the bedrooms.

- Residenz Munchen (visit it,as it is truly amazing)
- Friedensengel
- Maximilianeum
- Konigsplatz
- Olympischstadion
- Allianz Arena
- Siegestor
- Karlstor
- Maximiliansplatz (with a great medieval market)
- Theresenwiese and its huge statue
- The Hofbrauhaus

I am sure you can find plenty of things to do in this great city and anyway you look around something will make you wordless such is the magic from Munich!!

Perfectly located for Oktoberfest drinking, just a 2min walk away from the entrance. Very small balconies.

Overpriced for this standard of hotel, but only because of the time of year (during Oktoberfest) and last minute booking.

Buffet breakfast was very pleasant each morning, and the service was similarly friendly.
