I can't say enough positive things about this hotel. It is by far the most magnificent hotel I have ever stayed in and I can't wait to return. I traveled with seven other friends and although we had hoped to arrive in daylight hours, we unfortunately arrived in the early evening. We were pleasantly surprised to find the owner (I think) sitting inside as we pulled up and he came out to greet us. He directed us to park right in front of the hotel and even helped us with our baggage before checking us in.
As there were eight of us, we were spread out among four separate rooms and each room was more beautiful than the one before. The canopied beds and the beautiful decorations were wonderful. Prior to our trip, I kept hearing about how small European hotel rooms were but these were very spacious. My room was located on the 1st floor which was great because there is no elevator and my suitcase was heavy. Although the room was not as well decorated as some of the others, it was by far the largest with an enormous bathroom (including towel rack) and a separate sitting area. The room was also equipped with a small refrigerator/ minibar which was super convenient as we arrived after the liquor stores had closed. In addition, our room had a rear door that led to a terrace overlooking Tauber Valley. It was simply spectacular.
Breakfast was also included and it was excellent as well. Not a huge selection but delicious nonetheless. GREAT COFFEE and excellent juice!
Because we only stayed for one evening and left the next day, we did not have time to visit the spa but it looked amazing. I would recommend this hotel to anyone, particularly couples or a Girls Only Weekend but I would HIGHLY recommend staying a minimum of two days. One night was way too short.
