We stayed here in 1991 with our 2 young children ( 1.5 yrs, and 5 yrs old). Our room was spacious and very comfortable. The restaurant there was lovely as well.

We stayed one night in the new non-smoking part of Hotel Kloster-Stueble in October 2006. Our room was comfortable, tasteful and romantic decorated. Hotel staffs were friendly, helpful and speak good English. We had also our dinner in the old part of the hotel restaurant. They serve excellent traditional local cuisine.

Rothenburg is a very worth visiting. It is romantic and beautiful. Just like a town from a fairy-tale story. Hotel Kloster-Stueble is very well located, right in the middle of the lovely historical “Altstadt”, but nice and quiet.

Rothenburg is one of those towns where you really want to stay close to the old center, and this hotel certainly fits the bill. The place seems to be run by 3-4 energetic, smiling young ladies who serve as desk clerks, waitresses, and maitre d's all at once. They must live there because you see them cleaning up the restaurant at 11:00 PM, and then serving breakfast at 7:30 - always moving quickly and always with a smile.

We stayed in the "old" building, and it was just wonderful. Our room was right above the outdoor terrace and had a great view of the city beyond the walls. We also ate dinner on that same terrace, which was equally wonderful.

The Kloster-Steuble is a perfect match for this quaint, unique town -- small, intimate, and really old! The hotel is even fairly easy to find because it's right behind the Franciscan Church.

When you make online reservations, sometimes you get luckier than you expect, and, for us, this was one of those experiences.

We stayed here the first two nights of our spring break trip through Germany, Austria and Italy. Rothenburg delighted my children, especially the night watchman's tour and walking the walls. My husband and I had been to Rothenburg many years before but had purposely picked this as a place that our 12 year old daughter and 10 year old son would enjoy. Rothenburg did not disappoint us, and after a 2 week trip, was still my daughter's favorite. We also enjoyed this hotel charming hotel. The room was small but had sufficient beds for all 4 of us, with a lovely and comfortable canopy bed for the adults. The rate was 118 Euros including a really great German breakfast. The room was decorated in a cozy way with lots of detail not found in larger, chain hotels. Because we were visiting at a time when tourism was light, we did not have a problem with parking. We did enjoy the location of the hotel, away from all of the noise and bustle, but close enough to get to town square in 5 minutes.
We also had dinner in the restaurant one night and it was very good. (The only complaint was that smoking was allowed in almost every eating establishment in Germany and Austria--which is something we don't have to put up with in Washington. )We would stay at this hotel again!

Great little inn very close to the main square and also to the Christmas Museum. Our room was very cute with a very rustic feel. The bathroom was fine - a little small but overall clean and nice. The staff was very friendly and spoke great English! Although our room was in the old part of the inn we ventured into the new part to use the free internet service and it looks beautiful! Breakfast was nice - typical European style. Overall, great value and I would definitely stay here again!
