I was concerned by other reviews after I booked, but found this place to be surprisingly good, offering a spacious, warm room with TV and a good wifi connection, as well as two very clean bathrooms to share between 4 guest rooms. Rooms have bins emptied daily and linen changed every few days. There is also access to a kitchenette if required.
This part of Friedrichshain is quiet but also offers lots of cute shops and corner bars/restaurants. The UBahn to the city is three blocks away.
On the downside, non-German speakers will probably struggle a little here, the walls between rooms are on the thin side, and I had an unfortunate incident where I needed to leave Berlin early despite prepaying for a longer stay. I appreciate that they were under no obligation to partially refund my money but I think a more customer-oriented operation would have offered a discount or small credit for when I could resume my trip to encourage return business (or maybe have shown even slight sympathy). That aside, if all had gone well it would have been a very good stay.
