We went to this restaurant solely based on the tripadvisor reviews and were unfortunately disappointed by the experience. The dining room is a worn shrine left intact from at least 50 years back and some of the china is equally worn. The Heising family follows their own concept of service which we found exagerated and inappropriate. We had to ask specifically for the wine list, water, etc. The food was well prepared and tasted ok, but not exceptional. There is nothing modern about the menu, serving, atmosphere, etc. To top it all Mr Heising gave a well rehearsed show when we wanted to pay with credit card. A restaurant that does not accept credit cards in 2012 must openly inform all guests before it is time to pay. I am sure the path to the next door cash machine is equally worn.
